Introduction

If you've played other incremental games like Cookie Clicker or A Dark Room you should get the general idea, but this tutorial is available nonetheless.

In DEEPSPACE DJ, you'll want to generate several resources and then reinvest them into your production process so that you can automate it exponentially.

You'll want to press the 'CRANK BEATS' and 'SAMPLE STUFF' buttons under the 'Resources' menu. This will allow you to generate these resources (up to a default cap of 50 each).

When you have at least one of each, you can turn your Beats and Samples into Trax; it is a good idea to stockpile Trax before undertaking the next step.

Now, we'll turn your Trax into Cache. Under the 'Broadcast' menu, click the button labelled 'BROADCAST'.

With that, your DEEPSPACE pirate radio station is broadcasting. Did I not mention it's a pirate radio station? Well, too late now!

The longer the broadcast, the more Trax it'll take in upkeep costs to continue. The listener numbers and potential case also increase with longer broadcasts too, though.

Cache is generated when listeners decide to donate their computational power to your cause, this happens now-and-again and is nuanced by a number of esoteric and flavourful factors.

Suffice to say, it'll happen when it happens.

With enough broadcasts, you should start generating more and more Cache; use this to invest in whichever area of your operation you see fit, though I would recommend considering your Trax capacity.

Instances

The Instances menu offers a number of in-universe tools to generate the game's resources, these are another good way to spend Cache when you have it available.
